As a mutual we’re committed to giving back to our local communities. This year we’re celebrating our 175th anniversary and we’ll be holding events and competitions aimed at giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years.

To kick off the year we held an exciting competition giving junior rugby teams across Scotland the chance to win a training session with Edinburgh Rugby winger Darcy Graham at the DAM Health Stadium.

To be in with a chance of winning, junior clubs were asked to tell us why they should be given this once in a lifetime opportunity to train with the Scotland Star. The three lucky winners selected from lots of fantastic entries were: BATs Rugby, Dalziel Girls Rugby Club and Mackie RFC.

On Sunday 29 January, the teams visited the capital for a memorable day on the pitch with Scotland internationalist, Darcy Graham and his teammates; Charlie Shiel and Cammy Hutchison.

The groups were put through their paces by the rugby pro who offered insider tips on training, gameplay, and technique.

The training session highlights the values and fantastic community programmes that Edinburgh Rugby delivers to promote rugby as an inclusive sport. It can be played by everyone no matter age, ability, or location. It’s a great way to begin our celebrations of 175 years in the game.
