Earlier this year we held a social competition giving three junior teams across Scotland the chance to win a training session with Scotland Internationalist Pierre Schoeman. With over 250 impressive entries, we just had to squeeze in an extra team to give four lucky winners this unique experience.

Our champions were; Howe of Fife, Muntly, The Boroughmuir Banshees  and Falkirk rugby club. 

The winning teams went to Hive Stadium on 6 May 2024 for an unforgettable coaching session with Schoeman, as well as a few of his fellow Edinburgh Rugby stars; Glen Young, Harri Morris and Sarah Denholm from the women’s team.

The rugby pro's offered insider tips on training, gameplay, and technique. After being put through their paces the teams got the chance to put their questions to Schoeman and co with a Q&A and a few selfies.

The training session highlights the values and fantastic community programmes that Edinburgh Rugby delivers to promote rugby as an inclusive sport. It can be played by everyone no matter age, ability, or location. This event is yet another testament to the meaningful impact our sponsorship has on the community.
