Update your communication preferences
Occasionally we need to send you important information about your account, and we’d also like to send you updates on products and services that might benefit you. To help reduce paper, we'd like your permission to contact you via email. We’re committed to providing you with the best possible service while also playing our part in addressing climate change by reducing our environmental impact.
By opting in to emails, we can deliver important updates and other communications (including our annual member newsletter) directly to your inbox, cutting down on paper. You’ll enjoy faster, more convenient communication with us, while also reducing the clutter of physical mail.
Whether your preference is to receive emails, letters or phones calls, you choose how you would like us to contact you.
How to update your contact preferences
- Log into SBS online – you’ll find the button in the top right corner of our home page at scottishbs.co.uk
- When logged in to your account, click on your name in the top left navigation bar to access your profile.
- Choose ‘Contact Details’ to check whether we have your preferred email address on our records. If not, select “Update Contact Details” to update it.
- Next, click on ‘Marketing’ – this is where you can let us know your preferred methods of contact.

Please clearly indicate your contact preferences for a) important information about your account and b) for information about other products, services and our annual member newsletter. This can be via post, via email or both for all types of communications.
