A self-build mortgage differs from a regular house purchase mortgage in that the money from a self-build mortgage is released in stages as the build progresses rather than in one single amount.

The Blueprint mortgage can provide funds to assist with the purchase of the land - this could be up to 80% of the plot value or purchase price, whichever is lower, and for building materials, making the whole build process more flexible.
